Churches Coming Together in Malawi

In Malawi’s Salima district, the Malapa 1 Church Network Community (CNC) is transforming how churches and communities work together. Through Global Lift Collective Partners’ training—Agriculture for Life, Savings for Life, and Families for Life—local congregations are finding unity and purpose. These initiatives empower communities to improve farming practices, pool resources through savings groups, and strengthen family structures with practical training.

Previously, churches only came together for funerals. Now, they joyfully collaborate to support their communities in practical and meaningful ways. Churches plan evangelism events together or encourage new believers to join a nearby church, regardless of denomination. CNCs also partner with local government structures to identify and assist those in need through “seed projects,” acts of service that provide physical help and share the gospel. These projects often lead to life transformation, with many individuals choosing to follow Christ.

Through these initiatives, Malapa 1 CNC is fostering unity, strengthening families, and changing lives—showing what’s possible when faith is put into action.
